The experience of a novice investor is quite different from day traders found trading on Wall Street. Most of the investors who play the stock market usually do it from their own homes with their computers.

With a little research, practice and experience you can also do it on your own and learn how to play the stock market and make money.

When playing the stock market there are a few approaches you can use especially when investing in a double short financial ETF. The approach you use depends on the time you have to play and how much effort you are willing to put.

Day traders are constantly on the go as they trade, continuously buy and sell stock and closely watch the movement of stocks and their costs. If you want to be as successful as they are, you need to play the stock market as a full time job. You should start off with a mentor to gather experience and have very little emotional attachment to any stock in order to invest in different stocks very quickly. You need a wide knowledge base of the trends in stock prices to have no preference on any company or industry.

With the swing trading option, you do not need to be fully attentive of the fast paced environment. All you have to do is stay updated with the information of the industry or company you are dealing with. Broader knowledge however is always more helpful as competition may rise as the industry or company declines.

Position Trading is another option of how to play the stock market. It requires you to remain knowledgeable of the history of the industry or company you are dealing with in order to accurately predict the future success of the stock.

The more you learn how to play the stock market the better you get. To make educated predictions you must constantly research of the stocks you are dealing with. Listen to advice and remember that not all these approaches are suitable for a particular type of industry or company.
