Using double curtain rods is an excellent way to create an attractive window display. You will usually save yourself both some time and money if you hang one double curtain rod rather than two individual rods.

Many people think they can’t afford the rods and two sets of curtains for each window, but it is easy to create a great look within every budget when you start with double curtain rods.

Double curtain rods are really just as easy to install as single rods and you quickly have the set-up for two curtains, giving you many options. You can take advantage of the many sheers and valances that are not very expensive and combine them with another fabric for a great look.
Whether you main goal is to create an amazing, elegant look, or to have a lot of light during the day and privacy and warmth at night, double curtain rods can do the job for you.

Double curtains rods
are more popular than ever, so you can now find them to go with any type of room decor. White wooden rods for a cottage look, or metal rods with brass or pewter finishes can all be found at local curtain shops, department stores and at online retailers. Measure your windows as you would for a single curtain rod before you begin to look. The only difference with a double rod is that you need to consider the space between the two rods, which is typically about two inches. Make sure that the curtains you choose will not need more than two inches of width when they are open. Most types of curtains will work fine, but just be aware of this measurement as you shop.

Once you discover all of the options that are available to you when using double curtain rods, you will probably want to use them throughout your house.
